Published, not hidden in a contract.
Storage and ingest cost us real money even when you send through your own providers. So we publish what we enforce, and keep it separate from the levels we merely watch.
Read the fair-use policySend-rate caps on workspaces that are not yet verified for go-live. Rate limits on the API.
Stored players, events per month and storage. Measured, not enforced. We publish the numbers before self-serve sign-up opens.
- ✓Unsubscribe, suppression and self-exclusion updates are always accepted.
- ✓Transactional sends are never blocked by a quota.
- ✓Your data always exports.
- ✓We write to you before anything changes.
Questions, answered.
How can it be free?
The biggest cost of a messaging CRM is sending, and you pay that to your own provider. What is left is hosting data and running the gate.
Do you use or sell player data?
No. We never sell or use player data, never send through shared reputation and earn nothing per message.
Why must I bring my own providers?
It keeps the price at zero and your sender reputation isolated. Your SES, your numbers, your WABA.
What are the limits?
They are on the fair-use page: what is enforced today, and the reference levels we watch. Transactional sends are never blocked by a quota.
Will you start charging?
There is no paid plan. If anything changes, we write to you first, with a notice period set in the terms.
What if you shut down?
Your data exports at any time, in full. The terms set a notice period before any shutdown.
Do I need my own email or SMS provider?
Yes. Email goes through your own Amazon SES account today, with a guide to set it up. SMS, push and WhatsApp will use your own accounts as they ship.
Can I move from Fast Track or Optimove?
Yes. Point your existing event feed at Kontako; their event names work as-is. See Migrate.
Who can sign up?
Anyone can create a workspace. Kontako is for licensed operators, and real players are messaged only through your own provider accounts.
